The role of disinfectology facilities in the provision of sanitary-epidemiological welfare of the population in the Republic of Tatarstan

In the Republic of Tatarstan structured network of prophylactic facilities, specializing in disinfectology, is in operation. Their activities are aimed at prevention of natural-focal diseases and morbidity rates decline. Efficacy of sanitary-prophylactic measures has been assessed based on the results of work in 2013. At that time, owing to targeted disinfection treatments in areas with high risk of infection provided was sanitary-epidemiological welfare of the population during the preparation and carrying out of mass sports events with international participation within the frames of Universiade-2013 held in Kazan.
Key words: natural-focal infections, zoonoses, disease prophylaxis, disinfection, desinsection, and deratization.

Prevention of ventilator-associated respiratory tract infections in the surgical intensive care ward

Ventilator-associated respiratory tract infection (VA PID) on average occur in 8–20 % of patients in the Intensive care unit (ICU) and in 27 % of patients under mechanical ventilation (ventilator). The frequency of their development depends on the duration of respiratory support, and is an independent predictor of adverse outcome in critically ill patients requiring mechanical ventilation. Purpose: to develop measures aimed at improving the prevention of ventilator-associated respiratory tract infections in the surgical intensive care ward. We analyzed the measures aimed at improving the prevention of ventilator-associated respiratory tract infections in the surgical intensive care department (ICU) for 11 years (2003–2013.). The structure infections associated with medical care (IHS) this complication takes one of the leading places – 87,65±11,76 %. Improving surveillance system allowed us to obtain reliable data on the incidence density (increase of 3,9±1,7 in 2003 to 11,7±1,4 in 2007, 1000 ALV / day, respectively). Pathogens VA PID characterized by multidrug-resistant to antibiotics. The greatest stability was observed in the isolated microorganisms to aminoglycosides – 69,5±6,8 %. The share of strains with resistance to disinfectants ranged from 1,1±0,6 % (chlorine disinfectants) to 13,13±4,8 % (to disinfectants based on the hour). Prevention of this group of infections in the surgical intensive care department should be comprehensive and include a hospital-wide plan for preventive measures. Keywords: ventilator-associated respiratory infections, Department of Surgical Intensive Care, prevention, surveillance, laboratory diagnosis.

According to the prevention problem of hospital acquired diseases in development conditions of antibiotic resistance of microorganisms

Serious problem concerning infection prevention, connected with medical treatment are represented with microbial strains, which are resistant to antibiotics and disinfectants. There was made performance evaluation of disinfectant use on the basis of complex CHAS to 28 microbial strains and also their sensitivity to antibiotics: cephalosporin, quinolones, carbapenems, aminoglycoside. There was proved that microbial strains of enterobacter and acinetobacters have high resistance to different groups of antibiotics. Investigated disinfectant in antiviral and antibacterial conditions was high effective in accordance to gram-positive and gram-negative microbial strains, afforded to them expressed bactericidal effect in 100% cases. In order of risk reduction of ISMP disease incidence it is necessary to create and system operation of epidemiological surveillance and control for ISMP in surgical hospital.
Key words: infections, connected with medical treatment, disinfectants, resistance to disinfectants, nosocomial microbial strain.

The influence of stabilizing additives to storage period of desinfectants on the basis of peroxosolvate

We studied the influence of certain carboxylic acids, are used as stabilizers of modern disinfectants on the period of storage of peroxosоlvates. Comparative decomposition coefficients of peroxosolvates with different carboxylic acids were obtained. The analysis of the IR spectral results of products of interaction of carboxylic acids with hydrogen peroxide in the conditions corresponding to the synthesis of peroxosolvate of potassium fluoride are discussed. The disinfection efficiency of stabilyzed peroxosolvates against dangerous microorganisms was confirmed.
Key words: Рeroxosulfates, carboxylic acids, disinfectants and decontaminable tools.

Insecticidal activity of avermectin substances and formulations based on avermectins against different cockroach species

The comparative contact and intestinal insecticidal activity of natural avermectins and semisynthetic avermectin derivatives against synanthropic cockroaches were studied. LD50 and LD95 values were calculated by topically applying an insecticide solutions on insects or by contacting the insects with treated glass surface. Survival parameters of cockroaches under the influence of avermectins introduced in attractive matrix were determined. We define the insecticidal activity of new domestic compound from the class of avermectins – avermectin B1a hemisuccinate. Bait on the base of avermectin B1a hemisuccinate is effective against multiresistant strain (RM1) of German cockroach, as well as American, Turkestan and black cockroaches. Thus, avermectins are promising active ingredients for development of control agents against synanthropic cockroaches and for their introduction into practice of medical disinsection.
Key words: avermectins, avermectin B1a hemisuccinate, insecticidal activity, synanthropic cockroaches, ivermectin.
